Key Findings
– Korean respondents preferred using AI for instrumental (supportive and assistive) purposes.
– Perceptions of risk and usefulness varied across domains; respondents saw more utility than risk in the field of health and care.
– Men, those with higher education levels, and high-income respondents tended to be more familiar with technology and rated AI as more useful.
– Differences by age group were not statistically significant in the domain of culture and humanities.
– Public perception of artificial intelligence is not fixed but fluid, shaped by exposure to new technologies and experiences.
– Overall willingness to adopt and utilize AI is relatively high and shows an upward trend. Among the five domains, the finance sector exhibited the most notable increase in AI acceptance and adoption intent.
– A clear preference for personalized and customized AI-based services was observed across multiple domains.
– Perceived risks associated with AI have increased overall, and this growing awareness appears to be linked to rising support for AI regulation.
